Who doesn't love the beach?

How pretty is this water? This is heaven on earth (well, at least in the good ole USA). This was our beautiful view for 7 days in Sandestin, Florida!

Holton had an absolute blast playing in the sand all day! We all had a great time there. Our Florida crew consisted of Adam, Holton, me and my parents. Can you say built in babysitter?

This was our condo right on the beach. It worked out perfect and sure is a great way to save money by eating meals at your home away from home.

I'll post many more pics when I upload them from the camera.

More of Holton at school

Adam takes Holton to school three days a week. Yesterday when he dropped Holton off, he asked that his daddy come and pick him up. Nope he didn't want me, he wanted his daddy.

So Adam snuck into Spanish class and took a picture of Holton and his friends intently listening to the teacher. They are talking about Fall and they are already working on several Spanish words for the Fall! They even gave us a vocabulary list....uh, I got a big fat D in College Spanish...

Here is picture that Adam took of Holton walking to the car with his school back pack. He looks so cute :) Sorry it's so tiny, hard to get great pictures with a phone.

To wrap up our day we went to Chili's because on 9/28 all profits went to support St. Jude Children's Hospital. Holton worked very hard on coloring his own chili pepper to donate. He really wanted to them hang up his work of art with all the other pepper drawings. He must have asked about this a hundred times while we ate. Notice he couldn't be any closer to his daddy.

And just because I'm really behind on blogging, here is one last picture of Holton being his cute self before bed time.

A new school for Holton

Since January, Holton has been on the waiting list for a local school here. It's one of those hoity-toity schools where he has to wear a uniform...at the age of 2! Anyhoo, September 1st Holton began attending this school three days a week. It's the perfect set up as he'll still be with my mom the other two days.

I'm happy to report that Holton is doing really well at school. He has a very small class size and the neat thing is they move rooms every thirty minutes. Each day he does art class, music class, Spanish class, math class (maybe he can help me) and several other fun activities.

His teacher is very nice and we are so happy that Holton is around other kids each week. We are hoping he will get a confidence boost from all of this and won't be such a shy little guy. I'll keep you posted!

Getting Fit!

If you watch any TV at all, you've probably seen the infomercial for the exercise DVD called "P90X". Adam ordered this ridiculously hard DVD and we've been working out at home for the past couple weeks. (Well ok, Adam really is much more dedicated than me).

Anyhoo, the DVD comes with some bands to use for various exercise routines. Holton thinks they are really cool and he likes to pretend he's working out with us.

And since I embarrassed Adam with a few pictures of his....backside, here are two pictures of me attempting to work out. Holton took these with my phone.
