Holton in a tux!

The wedding was beautiful. First, let me say how cool it was that Amanda let us bridesmaids choose our own dress. The only rule was it had to be black and had to be knee/tea length.

And, they invited Holton to be a little bell ringer. When it came down to it, Holton did not walk down the aisle. But, he did hold the bell and look adorable.....in a back room! Apparently when he saw Adam at the front of the church he got very upset. That was just ok with Adam and me as this day was about Patrick and Amanda. And did I say that Holton looked adorable?

Anyhoo, here are the pictures from before the wedding. At this time I don't have any pictures during the wedding or family pictures after the wedding. So if any of you out there have any pictures, please feel free to share!

Rehearsal dinner and more

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner and I have to say my parents went all out! We had a great dinner at the Rio Rio right on the river walk. It was perfect for San Antonio. We had over 90 people at the dinner and we just had the best time.

Adam's mom, Vali, did a great job decorating every single table with flowers that she arranged. We did a fun slide show and then the traditional speeches. I may have embarrassed my brother, just a little bit. But that's what big sisters do.

Look at the love birds! My mom and dad.

Evelyn and Odie. I'd like to think I played in role in them getting married. Since I'd always nag Odie about this. Anyhoo, they came from Nebraska for the wedding.

Our family. Holton was way more interested in Adam's phone than the rehearsal dinner.

Barry and Carol came all the way from South Dakota to help us celebrate.

The best man, Monte, aka "Butthead". Long story, but he's a sweetheart. That's his wife Mandy, me, and Eric a good family friend for years. Barry and Carol are his parents.

Amanda's last night as a single gal!

My dad, my cousin Michael (who looks a lot like Sarah Palin's husband) and Adam.

Cute Kiersten with our fabulous hair stylist for the day!
The back of my up-do for the wedding. The stylist says my hair told him what to do. I loved it, so thanks hair!

After we've been all spruced up. Let me tell ya, having your make-up professionally done, not too shabby! No wonder the famous folk always look so darn good.

Bev and Holton on the river walk

Holton not feeling like being strapped in the stroller anymore.

We found Na Na and Pa Pa on the river walk. And Holton was very happy to be free from the stroller.

Holton and my nephew, Clayton. Holton loves Clayton, but calls him Kiersten :)

Patrick is a married man!

That's right folks. We are back from our weekend in San Antonio. Patrick and Amanda had such a beautiful wedding and the reception........it was just amazing! We have so many pictures from friends and family, so I thought I'd break up the posts each day.

So today I'm starting with pictures from the wonderful mani/pedi party that Amanda's friends threw for all of us on Friday. We were all so pampered! Thanks so much to Pam and other ladies for such a relaxing time!

My adorable niece, Kiersten. She got a mani and a pedi!

Wedding Bells

Adam, Holton and I are all loading up today and heading down to San Antonio for the event of the year! Patrick and Amanda's wedding is this Saturday! We are have so many family and friends that are coming, so it's just going to be a blast.

Holton has his tux and shoes and the big question is - can he do it? Will he walk down the aisle with the other kids, ringing bells to announce that Amanda is coming. Holton does not have my personality - ha. He's very, very shy with people at first. So I think he'll see 350+ people looking at him in the church and he'll be frozen. It's ok with me because I know he'll look adorable!

Sunday we are going to Sea World to celebrate my niece's 9th birthday. Adam can't wait to see Shamoo (he's tried to think of a million ways to get out of this).

So, an early congratulations to Patrick and Amanda. We are so happy for you both! Welcome to the family, Amanda!

Look who it is

This is the only picture of Adam I could get. He’s totally avoiding me just to focus on his own handsome reflection in the drive thru window.

Anyhoo - a quick note to update you all on Adam’s progress. He’s doing really well! Last week he ran on the treadmill and he even did a leg work out. He was excited because he didn’t get all dizzy and his heart rate didn’t jump to 180.

Holton was pleased with this update.
