Holton's girlfriend
Our friends Dee and Casey came over on Sunday with Dee's mom and Casey's parents. It was great to see them and even better for Holton to see Dee & Casey's baby...Kaylee! Dee and I have been friends since the 6th grade, so we're convinced that our kids will fall in love and get married. Then we'll be in-laws and we'll all go to the NASCAR races in our big travel trailer. Hey, we can dream, can't we? Anyway, here are some pictures with Holton's "girlfriend" ;)
Kaylee is such a happy baby
He's excited, but I think Kaylee is more into her diaper bag!
All right, got that pesky bag out of the way. Now Holton is really happy!
He's worn out after a day of flirting

Doctor's visit
Yesterday was Holton's 4 month appointment with the pediatrician. He is healthy and seems to be progressing well. Holton currently weighs 14 pounds 4 ounces and is 25 inches long. He was very happy when the doctor leaned in close to talk to me during the examination. Ol' flirty Holton was all smiles and giggles! She thought it was because we were talking about solid foods, but I assured her that he is quite the ladies man. His mood quickly turned when the nurse gave him his 4 shots (vaccines). Being the tough guy that he is, he calmed down after I walked with him for a while. He's doing really well, now if we could just get him to sleep through the night!

First visit to the park!
Not that he'll remember it at all, but we took Holton to the park for the very first time! We needed to entertain our niece and nephew, Kiersten and Clayton, who were in town for Spring Break. So we loaded up Holton and his cousins and we had a great time at our neighborhood park. Holton was in hog heaven watching everyone. He only got fussy when we put him back in his car seat to leave.
Below is another slide show with a few pictures of the park and Holton with his cousins. They were so sweet to him this week! Another side note - Adam is still alive! He just isn't in any of the pictures because unlike me, he is very healthy and seemed to be working out whenever we took pictures. Enjoy the new slide show.

Meeting Great Grandpa
Adam's Grandfather, Wes, recently suffered a stroke and he is now in a nursing home in Texas. Having him in Texas has been much easier on all the family and it's great that we can visit him more often. A couple weeks ago we took Holton to meet his Great Grandfather. A side note - For those that don't know, Wes went to Oklahoma State as did my brother, Patrick. Being the true OSU supporter, Patrick bought Holton some OSU gear when he was first born. He is now set to watch any basketball game with both his “home” and his “away” onesie! Anyway, we made sure that Holton proudly wore his little OSU onsesie to visit Wes.
We were heading out to see Wes, but Holton was extremely fussy that day. He had been crying and fussing all morning. Needless to say, we were concerned about taking him into the nursing home. We get into Wes’ room and we are pretty much holding our breath. Would Holton cry? Would he scream? Would they kick us out?
Well, let me just say that we were completely shocked at how well he behaved. We put Holton on Wes’ lap and he just smiled, and cooed, and tried to carry on a conversation with him. We joked that he was talking about the OSU basketball season and Wes quickly replied that "there wasn’t much to talk about"! It was so precious and it made me think about my Grandfather who passed away last year. Holton truly enjoyed his time with Wes and we think Holton’s visit did Wes some good too!

Two posts in one day!
As we failed to keep the other website updated, we are going to try our best with this blog format. A friend of ours does a fantastic job with her blog, so Adam and I have been inspired. We really want to have a page where you can see updated pictures of Holton. We are new to this format, so bear with us while we learn it. Bottom line - this page will have updated pictures!! You can save it/bookmark it as a favorite.
4 months old
Holton celebrated his 4 month birthday on March 7th. He is getting so big and has really become a daddy's boy. He loves to look at Adam and just smile. It's really cute. Holton is still working on holding his head completely straight and he hasn't quite figured out how to roll over. I'm sure that will come! He's done really well with grasping at things like his pacifier. He can take it out and put it back in his mouth on his own. Let's hope he'll be a college basketball player with that hand eye coordination!
Anyway - enjoy the slideshow of recent pictures below. Just click to play it!
