The first day we took the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and then Ellis Island. It was a little cloudy and these are from my phone - sorry for the poor quality!
On Saturday AM Rachel took me to H&M. This is a very cool, cheap store that we don't have in Texas. Of course NYC has several H&M stores and guess what they had - a maternity section! It was fun buying cute, cheap clothes.
We then hit up a Yankee's game. The Yankees beat the Houston Astros, but we sat right behind a whole row of folks from TX. When Derek Jeter scored a home run, the crowd chanted "Derek Jeet-uh" Boy, they say we have accents.
Rachel's apartment has a great roof top patio with amazing views of NYC. The weather was perfect and we spent a lot of time up there enjoying all the sights including the Empire State Building.
Adam and his twin, Brian. Isn't it cute that they dressed alike?
On Sunday morning we walked to a local street fair. It's their version of the state fair here in Texas. They had tons of great food and bargains galore. Who wants some Egyptian Cotton Sheets for $20!
Finally, we had to take a picture of this. Who would have thought they were so concerned about those taxis honking their horns.
