Santa Fe: Skiing, Relaxing, and no kids!

Last week Adam and I took our first vacation without the boys. Although I missed them terribly, it was great to get away, relax and even sleep! We vacationed with Patrick and Amanda.

Amanda's good friend, Megan, invited us all to stay with her and her husband, Roy, in Santa Fe. Here is the one picture I took of Megan, Roy and Amanda (note to self - take more group shots on the next trip).

Patrick, Megan & Amanda the night of the awesome margarita and fajita dinner. Yum! (maybe a little more fajita & less margarita next time)

Roy and Megan's home was just beautiful! How could you not be relaxed here?

This is their main house and the guest home where we stayed.

Our home away from home!

Here are some interior shots of their beautiful guest home.

The Great Outdoors!

It's ski Adam! And see the lady to the right? Well that's my reading buddy!

Ya, me and skiing don't really see eye to eye. So I stayed inside and enjoyed my Nook.

Kinda looks like Patrick is giving me the bird.

There goes the 3 skiers - you can barely see them on the ski lift

Like my creative angle...of their back sides?

Hooray! One group shot!

Thank you to Megan and Roy for being such great hosts! It was the perfect get away for us - just what we needed!

And a huge thank you to Papa and Nana for watching our sweet boys while we were away. Knowing y'all were at our house holding down the fort made it so easy for us to enjoy Santa Fe!

Texas Snow Day

Yep this is Texas snow! Now try not to laugh all our friends in Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, South Dakota and Nebraska.

Around these parts we get a little bit of snow and a lot of ice! But Holton was still so excited to get out and play in it last week.

Just because us adults around here don't know how to drive on the ice doesn't mean that Holton can't!

There he is zipping around our cul de sac.

Sadly Holton's car needed to head to the shop for repairs. But I don't think he minded. He was over the cold.

Meanwhile Weston and I stayed inside all warm and cozy. Weston gave his first snow day a thumbs up!

Happy Boys

I'm once again very behind in updating our blog with our recent snow day pictures and our trip to Santa Fe.

But in the meantime, here is a very happy Weston in his bouncy seat thing (thank you Dee!). Don't you just love this little smile!

And here is 30 second video of Dino Holton. He put that mask on and then asked me to record him.

Just like his mamma!

Weston had his 4 month check up this week. He's doing great! He's still our tall little fella - in the 86th percentile for height. His current weight is 15 pounds - in the 60th percentile.

The big news of the visit is that we get to fatten him up by starting him on rice cereal. I'm happy to say that Weston shares his mamma's love of food! He did great eating and hopefully this will lead to many rolls of lil fat!

Here's a 30 second clip of him eating. You can hear Holton in the back talking about how he wants to the Eater Bunny to bring him chocolate. Hey, we all have our priorities!

You look good in pictures!

Other than Baby Weston, what is the best present I got last year? A new fancy smancy camera! Adam surprised me after one of his business trips with one of those big Nikon cameras.

We have already gotten so much use out of it. You just can't take enough pics of your kids, right? This is one of the first pictures Adam took. Look at him trying to be all artistic. And look at Baby Weston's cute little cheeks and mouth.

Anyhoo, this new camera will certainly help our blog. Good bye fuzzy, shady pics.

Finally a Christmas update

I know I'm exceptionally late with our Christmas update! I'm now back at work and it's hard to find the time to update the family blog, but I will get better...I promise!

So we started Weston's very first Christmas at my parents' house. That means we got to hang out with sweet little Sutton! Check out the babies in their best Christmas gear.

Holton was very anxious to open presents!

We then headed to East Texas to spend Christmas with Adam's mom, Vali, and the rest of the Double S crew!

Holton kept his Uncle Patrick busy putting together all his new toys.

This was the first time Adam's Grandma, Patsy, was able to meet Weston

Our boys!

Vali got Holton the Buzz Lightyear toy he wanted. He was VERY happy.

Check out our adorable little Santa!

We wrapped up Christmas at our home with Nana, Papa and John. Holton was thrilled to have them all at our house.

Happy New Year! I will be better about updating in 2011!

Is he already 3 months?

Weston is 3 months old today! I can't believe how fast the time goes! In just a couple weeks I'll be back at work and missing my little baby baby. Wouldn't it be great to hit the pause button on life sometimes?

He's doing really great and he loves to give us the best smiles.

And he's getting the cutest little chubby rolls! He currently weighs 14 pounds.

We love our baby baby!
