Beach with the boys

During our Florida vacation we had to hit up the beach!

Weston really wanted to get in the sand

This was Weston's first ever beach experience.

He loved it! Of course he was all about touching and eating the sand. A healthy diet!

Holton enjoyed his own version of surfing

It was so great to see the boys playing together. Holton was so protective over his little brother. Made me proud! (Wonder if he'll be the same way in 10 years)

Family of 4 Fun in Florida!

I realize we took our trip to Florida in April, and here it's almost June, but we've been a little busy.

So, let's get to our first family of 4 trip. Adam got us a fantastic hotel in Florida that had a lazy river. You can not believe how excited Holton was about this. And this was Weston's first time in a pool. How cute are these guys :)

Our first stop was Sea World. See how excited Holton was...well, at least Weston wanted his picture taken.

Holton loved the Shamu show. His favorite part was when Shamu splashed the crowd.

Holton's first ride at Sea World

Took a little convincing, but he did go down the big slides.

Sharks were swimming at our feet

By far Holton's favorite was the Clyde & Seymour show with these attractive guys.

The boys gave Sea World Orlando a big thumbs up!

Yep, I did it!

A couple weeks ago we took our first family of four vacation. Adam was already in Florida for work, so he arranged for us to meet him there. That required a very early Saturday morning flight with just me and the boys.

And I'm happy to report they were both fantastic! No problems. We even lucked out with a sweet grandma behind us who held Weston when I had to take Holton to the bathroom. (Did I mention we walked in on a man using that bathroom....awkward!)

Here are the boys posing in their new stroller (total lifesaver while taking on Sea World, Disney World).

My early morning airport picture! A big thank you to my mom (Grandma) for dropping us off at 6 AM!

Holton loved looking out the window.

His signature pose.

Watching a movie. Portable DVD player = a must while traveling with a toddler!

Our sweet angel taking a nap. Weston was perfect on this flight.

Next up - pictures from our vacation. We had an awesome time!

Blog catch up...so let's go racing, boys!

I'm once again extremely behind on blogging. So what better way to catch up than a nice dirt bag post about us going to NASCAR at the Texas Motor Speedway!

For the first time ever we decided to rent a camping trailer. A few nights before the race Adam took Holton out to spend the night in the camper. Holton is hooked! Not so much on the racing, but the camping. He loved every second of being in the camper and cried when Adam took him home.

After Holton went home, us adults rolled on in! The crew included Adam, me, Patrick, Amanda & Patrick's friend Jay.

Amanda & Jay enjoying our patio.

Our camping neighbors let us get on their fancy "ride" and take us over to explore the area of the campground that is called Mexico. Why Mexico? They say the law can't touch that certain part of the campground.

We were highly entertained with the dirt bags in "Mexico" So let's start with this...a truck driving around with a speaker and stripper pole! And no Kristi, we didn't partake in this!

The Monster energy drink truck pulled up and gave away free drinks. Well, that got a lot of attention in "Mexico"

Serious campers....they brought couches.

We had so much fun. I mean, where else can you see this type of outfit? You gotta love NASCAR!

Checking in with Weston!

I'm very behind in updating about Weston (bad mom). I've been meaning to get on here and update about some of his milestones.

Our little guy is 6 months (well as of 3/22, I know I'm late!)

And here is a little about Weston at this age.

• He’s an extremely happy baby. He’s always smiling & grinning. He’s just a joy!
• He’s very active…rarely is he still. His arms and legs are constantly moving.
• He’s so busy that he will never just lay there and put his little head on your shoulder. The only time he does this is when he falls asleep at night. I tend to savor those moments!
• If you hold Weston, he’ll push his arm so that he’s facing away from you. He always wants to see what’s going on around him.
• Weston is still working on sitting up. He’s almost got it down!
• He’s a very vocal baby! You can always here him babbling and cooing.
• No real words yet, but he has kind of said da-da several times.
• Weston is a tall baby! He’s in the 95th percentile for height. Now we just need to chunk him up a bit more.
• He loves to eat solid foods! We are looking forward to trying big people food with him.
• Weston has 2 bottom teeth
• He’s a true schedule type of a guy. He wants to be in his bath every night no later than 7:30.
• He’ll pull at his ear to let you know he’s frustrated (so much better than crying!)
• And dare I say it, Weston sleeps through the night! (really hoping I didn’t jinx us)
• He loves watching Holton play….and ok, Adam, he likes watching our dogs too.
• Weston is a total cutie-pie and we are so blessed to have our jolly lil guy.

Opening Day!

The Texas Rangers opening day is a big thing around here. It always has been. Folks take off of work, tail gate all day to soak up the beautiful Texas weather and welcome the beginning of baseball season!

After the Rangers became the American League Champions, my dad got season tickets. So all the boys went to opening day! Holton told me several times that girls weren't allowed.

Don't worry, that isn't Holton's drink.

Two of my guys

Poor little fella had to take a nap. But, I hear he was good to go after 30 minutes.

Somebody got some new duds and glasses!

And of course the Rangers won! Heck ya!
