Holton has a new favorite song these days. When I say favorite song I mean that he can hear this song over and over...and over. As soon as the song finishes, he'll say "again!" He even sings along with it - which is just the cutest (well, except when they reference beer).
So enjoy Holton's favorite song by the Zac Brown band.

Something different
Since we found out that "Baby Baby" (that's what Holton is calling him) is a boy, Adam said that I could have full reign on his nursery theme.
As I said before, I'm retiring from the pregnancy business after Baby Baby arrives. So since there will be no frilly girl nurseries in our future, Adam said I could pick out the new nursery bedding and paint. Totally my call. Woo hoo!
I fell in love with the entire Caden Lane line of nursery bedding. It just so happens that Amanda knows the Caden Lane designer (Katy) and went to high school with her in San Antonio! Katy is the same gal who helped Tori Spelling, Brooke Burke, Ashley Simpson and Samantha Harris with their nurseries!

She has such adorable and fun patterns.....for boys! After weeks of debating what to choose I finally selected the Caden Lane - Carey Bedding. I just love the bold colors and think it will look great with the dark wood nursery furniture we have from Holton's room.

Don't worry Adam, this color is red, not a hot pink! I promise I wouldn't do that to Baby Baby.

Now, keep in mind I ordered this all from the internet so it may arrive and look nothing like these lovely pictures. I'll keep you posted on Baby Baby's room!

Happy Easter
Patrick & Amanda invited us to go to church with them on Easter. I'm happy to report Holton did great! He was so quiet the whole time and said that he liked church. Hooray! As we left, we took advantage of the beautiful flowers they planted for the Spring.

Then we went over to the Kelly house for lunch and an Easter Egg hunt. The Easter Bunny visited and left behind surprises.

Amanda's cousin Kendra, her hubby Dan and their cute 14 month old Grey also joined us for the Easter festivities.

You can see Amanda's baby bump - that's their "Little Spice"

Holton was very happy about all the Easter Eggs he picked up. He said he won...And here he is showing off his goods. Notice in the first pic how he squints his eyes. That's what he does when we tell him to smile. Might have to work on that with him.

A new ride
With baby number two on the way, Adam has been thinking about getting a bigger truck. The one he currently has is basically a two door with an extended cab and Holton is getting too big for the back.
Since this is such a big purchase, we recently went to the local auto show. Holton had a great time in the little Smart Car. I mean, who buys these things? No offense, but yikes they are tiny!

After looking at all the new trucks, we agreed that we liked the new four door Dodge trucks. So after the car show we went to test drive one. Holton highly approved!

So here is the final purchase! Adam got a beautiful new Dodge! I absolutely love it.

Big Baby News!
First let me say that I realize I've been a less than consistent blog updater! I will try to do better mom (I really think she's the only one who reads this).
Anyhoo, last fall we were all thrilled to find out that my little brother Patrick and his wife Amanda are expecting their first child! Yep, baby Kelly will arrive in July! And I must hand it to them, they are much braver than me. They are not finding out the sex of the baby. They want it to be a complete surprise when they meet their new little one! Not to worry gals, Amanda already found some adorable unisex nursery bedding!
And then back in January I was feeling horrible one day at work. Sure enough, it was baby #2 letting us know that he/she was on it's way. Last week we found out that we are having another baby boy. Holton is very excited about this news. He really wanted a brother. Our new addition should arrive around September 20th! It's so exciting for us that Baby King and Baby Kelly will be so close in age.
Adam and I know we are blessed to be able to expand our family. But, after September I'm officially retiring from the pregnancy business. Bring on the coffee and cold Miller Lite ;)

A classy night out
So what did we do a few weeks back to entertain our 3 year old? We took him out to the brand new Cowboy Stadium to see the Monster Truck show! Oh yea, NASCAR, Monster Truck shows....starting to see a trend in the King Family?
Standing outside of Jerry World aka Cowboy Stadium. It was very, very impressive!

And it is true, you find yourself watching the massive HD TV screen instead of the live action. This thing was huge! I couldn't get over it.

This was Holton's favorite truck...named Grave Digger! Now isn't that nice? He was a fan favorite though.

Holton loved the show! He didn't even mind the noise. Of course, a little popcorn didn't hurt.

And we made the mistake of waiting until the show was over to try and buy Holton some truck souvenirs. Let me tell ya, we will never make that rookie mistake again! I finally had to pay a lady $5.00 to include our order with hers.
Yep, another successful classy event! It was all worth it to see the smile on Holton's face.

Holton's first school dance
Holton's school had a Valentine's Dance a few weeks back. He was very excited to go, although he didn't dance at all!
The whole place was decorated and each room had a different event or theme. Holton loved playing in this room because he got a prize. Notice the really fancy jump rope? He's not hard to impress.

Then we moved on to the "tattoo room". He was pretty skeptical at first, but then was impressed with his new "ink".

And finally they had a room with a DJ, disco ball, and dancing. All the little girls looked so cute in their fanciest of dresses. Holton pretty much just stood there and acted very shy while watching the other kids dance.
But for some reason, this room kept calling his name. He made us go in there twice! It must have been all the eye candy ;)
